Pet Portraits
Our animals become part of our lives and our stories. A portrait can preserve something of the personality, presence, and character that makes a particular animal so special.
I accept a limited number of commissions for original pet portraits in pastel and oil. My preferred format is an 8 × 10-inch head-and-shoulders portrait, allowing me to focus on the expression and individual character of your pet. I work from photographs you provide or reference photographs I take by arrangement.
My portraits are original interpretations, not photographic reproductions. I welcome clients who appreciate an artist’s individual approach and want more than an exact copy of a photograph.
Each commission is discussed individually before acceptance. I will work with you to select suitable reference photographs, agree on the medium and price, and establish an estimated completion date. I accept only commissions that I believe are a good fit for my work and schedule.
